A day in the life of --- via YouTube. Really? Do I really want to sit there and watch you throughout the day? There are so many YouTubers that I bring it to my home everyday. You would think I have no life... *blank stare* I do have a life, I promise. I just find it a little interesting to watch videos starring other girls my age going about their daily lives. :) Some bring me along on their journey to work, shopping, out with friends- it's a day in the life of ---!
There are millions of videos that are uploaded everyday on a broad range of topics. There are beauty videos, music videos and so many others. This is Youtubers' way of letting people all across the world get to know them.
Justin Beiber, a young pop star was discovered because of YouTube. He displayed his talent to the world and ended up with a record deal and millions of teenage girls obsessing over him. There are several YouTube beauty gurus that are being recognized for their personalities and talented skills in the news media.
Back in the day, people didn't find it necessary to air their lives to the world, but now it's becoming the normal thing. There are pregnant women who video tape their nine month pregnancy to the world. I told my mom about this and she was in complete awe. She's one of those old-fashioned women who believe certain experiences shouldn't be shared with the rest of the world.
The time line: Talk to family and friends-- Wrote thoughts/feelings in diary-- Created BLOGS and expressed their thoughts via there-- Create YouTube channels and VLOG their lives away. I wonder what's next in the time line!

It is crazy how many people are now getting discovered through youtube. There were the days when you had to go to audtion after audition and get turned down over and over before you could get anywhere. I watch youtube all the time myself and have a few favorites (like charlie after the dentisit) but honestly it kinda makes me mad that people can become famous just from some videos on youtube. I feel like thats the lazy way out, unless those who post stuff on their arent trying to go anywhere, but if they are I feel like they need to go out and put more effort in to really be desevring of all the money and the fame you know?
ReplyDeleteJenn, I totally agree! Now it seems like it's just far too easy to get a record deal. There's not much effort that goes into getting real work done. Some of these artists get out of their beds and record themselves singing and "BAM" a record deal. These individuals aren't going to appreciate what they have because they didn't have to work for it. I'm happy someone agrees with me!

ReplyDeleteIt blows my mind how interesting people think they are. Everything about their lives is broad casted on the internet. How boring! and YouTube isn't the only site dragging us through their monotonous crap, there's facebook, twitter, myspace. All these sites allow us to keep track of the daily doings of the average person. Now even, there's four square where a person can tell us where they go and when they go there. Even give us their "tips."
Blows my mind I tell ya!

Haha, mine too Jen, mine too. I don't know if I'll be comfortable filming my life for the world to see. It's crazy to see some of the comments of "a day in the life" posted up: "omg, your life is so fun can we switch?" Like wth? She went to work and grocery shopping, how is that fun?! That's pretty average typical. But hey, that's just how things are thanks to the advancement of technology!
ReplyDeleteOmg!!!! I love my I-phone and the endless apps that are available through it. Not matter what you are looking for, there always seems to be an app ready and waiting. I found a really neat app for all Florida State Students. It tells about any upcoming events, and even has a mini-map of campus. I'm really excited to see how applications will advance ans change as time goes on.
